Hotsticks see off White Hart on the final game of the season

Hotsticks saw off a spirited White Hart team on the final day of the National League season with a 5 - 0 victory which also saw them lift the trophy after the match.

David Vella Dingli opened the scoring in the first quarter after good build-up play down the right side.

Emile Borg doubled the advantage shortly after and Christ Agius’ strike on the reverse all but sealed the points.

Borg scored his second of the match before Christian Sammut rounded off the scoring after a clinical counterattack.

The result sees Hotsticks finish the season at the top of the table, having only dropped points in one match.

After the match, the trophies and medals were awarded by Association President Gordon Mifsud and Minister for Education and Sport, Clifton Grima.

The Deputy Mayor of Sliema, John Pillow, also attended the presentation.
